Lobster Fishing Charters!

Lobster Hooping (Fishing) is a fun and exciting adventure. Since California Spiny Lobster tend to hide in rocks during the day, and come out at night to look for food, it is a night-time activity. All Lobster trips include up to 6 passengers. We supply all lobster hooping equipment and bait. Lobster hooping trips are 4-6 hours long and we recommend leaving the dock half hour to an hour before sunset.

*A valid California Fishing License (with an ocean enhancement) AND a Lobster Report Card are required for all hooping trips. Big 5 is the best place to purchase your Lobster Card.

How it’s done – We drop hoops, with bait, in the water then pull them up. We target spiny lobster, but, we have also pulled up octopus, crabs, small sharks, rays and sculpin.

Open Charters – Currently we do not offer “Open Charters” for Lobster Hooping. If you send us your name and contact information, we will contact you if/when we start offering them.

What to Wear – It can get cold on the water at night. We recommend wearing layers and bringing rain gear if you have it.

Book With Us – Book a Lobster Hooping Charter with us for your party of up to 6 people. If you have more people, we can book multiple boats and make a tournament out of it. It is great for corporate events for sales and marketing.
